(International Fire Code.) The National Fire Protection Association has its own codes for Fire\, Life/Safety\, Sprinklers and Fire Alarms. The mid-1970s show that the US had the highest death rates due to fire in the Industrialized World. Between 1977-2011 the death rate improved by over 71%. \nWhy? Instead of all work being done at once\, the project is planned and executed in a series of steps. This approach is often used for large\, complex projects to manage risk\, secure funding\, and ensure compliance.\nPhased projects can be done for several reasons. Financial risk management\, for logistical reason\, because of timing and addressing community feedback are all reasons for making a phased project.
